The heart is so delicate and fragile.
Yet we are so willing to give it away.
Willing to take the chance on all that pain and hurt?
Is it because this is what we
are destine to - hurt and sorrow?
Or do we really believe in love
and happiness?
Why does love have to hurt so much.
When we are in love it hurts but
the pain is a pleasant sorrow.
When we are breaking up with
the one we love it is yet another kind of hurt,
one which is of relief, confusion and guilt.
And yet when we are alone
we yearn for that special someone.
Yes we are all destine to give ourself away,
to take the risk of a broken heart,
all in the name of love.
